Cunningham Pattern & Engineering handles the engineering tasks and
creates patterns for molds for castings. This division is located in Columbus, Indiana just
off
Interstate -65, forty-five minutes driving time south of Indianapolis. The
pattern shop occupies a modern 10K square foot facility where pattern
engineering and manufacturing are performed.
Cunningham Pattern & Engineering manufactures patterns and related foundry
tooling, for both small and large production foundries. The shop specializes in
developmental and proof-of-concept tooling. Our staff of experienced pattern and
foundry engineers provide our customers with
valuable input relative to pattern
and casting economics and producibility for both ferrous and non-ferrous casting
designs.
The latest in CAD/CAM technology is utilized to produce a wide range of tooling
for the foundry industry. Using Pro-Engineer as the base 3-D model system,
draft, parting, gating and riser systems are designed for each part. This design
then has the tool path applied by Cimatron machining software and the tooling is
machined via CNC mills. Depending on customer requirements multiple materials
are used to produce patterns
and core boxes such as, tooling board, various
plastic compounds, iron, aluminum and stainless steel.
Let Cunningham Pattern & Engineering be your 'one stop shop' for many of your
pattern and casting requirements.
